The original photo on the left was edited using pixlr.com. I put in the text and made a new layer for additional photo edits. I cropped out the stars from the american flag and placed it on the cake, then I used the "Free Transform" and "Free Distort" tool to make it it align better with the cake. I adjusted the Hue and Saturation to make the red pop out more. I used the "Eraser" tool with a an opacity of 30 and used it on the plate to make it a lighter blue. I then used the "Curves" filter to make the overall image brighter.
